Aspen Skiing Company Launches Personalized Pricing Service by Agilysys and Planet Payment at The Little Nell

Aspen/Snowmass Village, Co. and Cleveland, OH; June 23, 2004: Agilysys, Inc. (NASDAQ: AGYS), a leading provider of enterprise computer solutions, and Planet Payment, a leading provider in localized payment solutions, today announced that the Aspen Skiing Company, has agreed to implement dynamic currency conversion at The Little Nell for the 2004/2005 ski season. Uniquely situated at the base of Aspen Mountain, The Little Nell is Aspen's only ski-in/ski-out property and is regarded as Colorado's premier luxury resort.

The service identifies international customers staying at The Little Nell and presents them the opportunity to view prices and pay for their stay in their home currencies. The international customer has the choice of paying for the transaction in either U.S. Dollar currency or the customer’s home currency. If the choice is to pay in the home currency, the Agilysys workstation prints the receipt, including transaction details, in that currency. The customer’s credit card statement will reflect the exact amount that appeared on the receipt at checkout.

Historically, an international traveler visiting an American hotel could only view prices and pay in U.S. Dollar, with the customer’s credit card provider performing the conversion after the transaction is completed, at an exchange rate not known to the customer. Frequently, these international customers do not learn the final cost of a transaction until they receive a billing statement. With dynamic currency conversion, the customer is presented with the information and ability, while still at the point-of-sale, to make an informed choice of currency in which to complete a transaction and at an exchange rate competitive to that which the customer’s credit card provider would offer.
